During my stay at the hotel (room 405), someone used half a jar of my wife's (expensive) face cream. After reporting this to the staff, we were to receive some compensation. To this day, no one has responded, although I wrote an email on this matter

Very Good location in Paddington, just 5-7 mins walk to Paddington Station, super convenient for the tourist even taking the luggage. The hotel located in a super quiet area next to some modern office building with some restaurants and supermarket even there is a bar just opposite to the hotel. I was so surprise the street is so clean and quiet in the midnight after a party in the bar on the Saturday afternoon and night. Hotel room is quite big for a couple (can open 2 big suitcases and 2 small suitcases at the same time lol), bed is big and comfortable. The shower water is warm enough and the pressure is strong enough. We met some issues in the bathroom in the first night and the staff came to assist shortly, very appreciated. But the carpet looks old and dirty. Overall, we had a pleased stay in Novotel London Paddington for 9 nights.

We were told when booking in, as a loyal member, we were being upgraded, so the expectation was it would be better than room booked, but the room was exactly as described in our booking. It would have been better not to be told we were being upgraded. Didn't like the toilet, with no hand basin, separate to the bath/shower. Breakfast was just OK.
