The Floating Market
Paddington Central’s Floating Market is a five-day celebration that brings together all the best in street food, local artisans, seasonal organic produce, live music and more.
From Wednesday 29 August to Sunday 2 September barges along the Grand Union Canal will open their doors to local vendors selling freshly baked bread, cheese, charcuterie, olives, cakes, fruit, veg and fresh flowers. Along the canal towpath, pop-up stalls will be offering fresh produce, delicious street food and hand-crafted items from talented designers.
Get your flower fix at Freddie’s Flowers tricycle stall; Lamar Scarves, Local Honey Man and Sunwar Foods will takeover Paddington Central’s very own Pioneer Barge and will be selling hand-printed scarves, local honey and chilli oils respectively; meanwhile the Onion Barge will be offering organic fruit and veg as well as other sustainable products.
Market stalls along the towpath include Bread Winners, a bakery that empowers refugees by providing employment opportunities; Priestlands Birch, who will be selling handmade birch-tree products from Exmoor; Woza Biltong; McKinley and Paget, creators of plant-powered home fragrances; Aequill will have a range of handmade scented candles; and Imazi Naturals will be offering their handmade soaps and bath salts.
Many of Paddington Central’s own retailers will be out and about with their tasting carts. Stop by, say hello and try some mouth-watering samples from Smith’s Bar & Grill, Lords of Poke, HUCKSTER, Coco di Mama, Tossed, The Union, Darcie & May Green, Department of Coffee & Social Affairs and Beany Green. You can also enjoy a refreshing drink canalside at London Shell Co.’s pop-up English sparkling wine bar.
The Floating Market is the perfect spot to enjoy with friends and family on Paddington Central’s vibrant canalside.
