The Floating Market was one of the highlights of last summer at Paddington Central, so we're delighted to announce its return for 2019 where, once again, the canalside area will be transformed into a five-day celebration of all the best in street food, local artisans, seasonal organic produce, live music and more.
From 14-18 August (11am-7pm Wednesday to Saturday; 11am-4pm Sunday), barges along the Grand Union Canal will open their doors to local vendors selling freshly baked breads, oils, cakes, candles, sauces and fresh flowers. Along the canal towpath, pop-up stalls will be offering fresh produce, delicious street food and hand-crafted items from talented designers.
The towpath and barges will also be the venue for a variety of exciting live music performances from acts such as Mandolin Monday, Camili Music and Jazz Mino.
Where to eat and drink
Grab a bite to eat from one of Paddington Central’s own bars and restaurants – including Lords of Poké, Vagabond Wines and PURE – who will be serving up samples of their own food and drink and you can enjoy a canalside smoothie from the smoothie bike, a refreshing cider from Crazy Dave or Fruitful juices from PIP, a local charity helping people with learning disabilities achieve their potential.
Buy something lovely
Barges along the Grand Union Canal will open their doors to many local vendors including beautiful handmade Italian bags from Rosamund; Turkish towels from Pur and handmade terrariums and homewares from Deterra.
The towpath and barges will also be the venue for a variety of exciting live music performances from acts including:

- 4pm-7pm Camilli
Saturday 17 August
- 12pm-3pm Mandolin Monday

Go plastic free and grab a haircut
To carry all of you goodies, you'll also be able to pick up a reusable Floating Market tote bag – with proceeds from every sale going to the West London Mission, who have been delivering social care for vulnerable people for over 130 years. You can also head inland for a quick spruce up as Pall Mall Barbers also join the market this year with a pop-up barber shop in the amphitheatre.
The Floating Market really is the perfect spot to enjoy time with friends and family on Paddington Central’s vibrant canalside.
