The Future of Food is the next event in the Square Mile Farms series of seminars, workshops and presentations in Paddington Central centred around the food we eat and the impact it has on our wellbeing, the environment and the difference you can make by re-engaging with our food systems.
This presentation looks at what we'll be eating in the future and discusses the fact that 2 billion people around the world already consider edible insects to be part of their diet. Crickets, for example, have twice as much protein as beef, more iron than spinach and more calcium than milk. Additionally, they require drastically less land, water, feed and energy than traditional protein sources.
