Green Space Exhibition

Green spaces come in all shapes and sizes and are tended and enjoyed by people from all walks of life.

This photography exhibition on our light cubes, by Mark Diacono, celebrates diverse allotment plots, those who nurture them and their flourishing produce. Whether cultivated for vital food or pleasing flora, for relaxation, artisan craft or commerce, these sustainable green spaces all offer a sense of wellbeing; some bind communities and forge relationships whilst others afford an oasis of solitude and calm.

Mark Diacono is an award-winning photographer, food writer and grower. He led the garden team at River Cottage and now runs Otter Farm, a sustainable smallholding in East Devon where he grows unusual and forgotten food alongside more familiar kitchen staples. Also encompassing a wide range of creative and garden inspired events and courses, Otter Farm has featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs.

If you'd like to know more about Mark Diacono and his gardening techniques visit otterfarm.co.uk or find him on social media @OtterFarmUK

The photographs showcased in our exhibition were all commissioned by Pavilion Books to illustrate their publication My Cool Allotment by Lia Leendertz. To find out how you can win a copy of this book click here.
