Mini-Engineers: LEGO Easter camps and weekly summer term classes

Mini-Engineers is turning five this year and to celebrate they are launching their own pop-up event space here at Paddington Central in April, where they’ll be staying with us for the duration of the summer.

They’re bringing with them their Innovation and Inspiration Lab – iLab for short – which will be a home for their much-loved LEGO activities, including weekly classes for children aged 3-11 years old, holiday camps, workshops and birthday parties. The iLab is conveniently located next to Paddington Station and will also see the launch of some exciting new events, such as LEGO building workshops for grown-ups and a chance for parents to have a Saturday night out while the kids enjoy a LEGO workshop of their own – designed to be a fun alternative to a babysitter while parents go for a nice, relaxing dinner nearby.

Summer camp themes will be announced soon, so stay tuned for more LEGO-building activities.

Cars and gears are all around us – modern life wouldn’t be the same without them. In this class, the children will be building some simple cars and other familiar objects and exploring their inner workings to see how they function – from gears, ratchets and flywheels, to gearboxes and pulleys. Discover what makes cars fast, what makes cranes able to lift heavy objects, how to build a walking robot and much more.

The pop-up iLab will also play host to LEGO parties and school groups for creative hands-on experiences that encourage teamwork and problem-solving through lots of LEGO building and fun. Inspiration is at the heart of the Mini-Engineers brand and we are really excited to host their latest venture.

Come join them as they strive to build mighty minds brick by brick.
